Newborns are known for their ability to sleep but even little Cecilia's parent's were surprised at how much she slept throughout her session. I like my lifestyle newborn photography sessions to be as relaxed as possible and with a few gentle poses between cuddles we managed to achieve that and more. Having a photo session in the comfort of your own home within your baby's first few weeks means we can go with the flow and let your little one lead the way. I will just be there to capture this very special time together as a new family so that you have beautiful real life moments caught on camera which you can cherish forever.
Cecilia was asleep when I arrived so not knowing if we were on borrowed time (we weren't!) we started the session in the main bedroom where I could catch some lovely photos of a tiny Cecilia asleep on her parent's bed. We spent most of our session there with some relaxed family poses and some extra special moments with Cecilia snuggled under a very special blanket given to her by her Grandmother. A hand-knitted blanket or first soft toy just brings something very special and means that the photos in years to come just have that little extra meaning.
Towards the end of our session we spent some time in her nursery, beautifully decorated in neutrals with a woodland theme for more cuddles and change during which Cecilia finally awoke, then we headed downstairs for a few photos in the gorgeous light of the conservatory. We really were on borrowed time now and her long sleep meant we had a rather ravenous little one whose hunger was not going to wait a moment longer.
