Thank you for visiting my Privacy Policy. This policy explains how Emma Stokes Photography uses and protects any information you provide when using this website www.emmastokesphotography.co.uk. Data provided will be stored and processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We do not disclose data to any third parties unless it is necessary for the fulfilment of a service.
We reserve the right to update this policy from time to time. Please familiarise yourself with this policy regularly to be aware of any changes. Your use of this website after a change has been posted will signify your acceptance of the modified privacy policy.
What is collected
Different types of information can be collected in a number of different ways when visiting the website.
Anonymous: I may collect anonymous information such as your IP address, how you have been directed to the site, whether you are using a computer, tablet or phone, which country you are located, which pages you have looked at and how long you may have spent on the site.
Direct: Direct information is collected when you submit a form, fill out a contact form, purchase products or purchase a photographic service. This will include your name, address, phone number, email address and details about your photography booking.
Third Party: If you purchase a photographic product from me using an online payment method, your card information is not held by me but it is collected by a third party payment processor (Paypal) who specialise in the secure online payment and processing of credit/debit card transactions. The only information I receive from the third party are notifications that a transaction has taken place, with the name of the payee, the date and the amount of the transaction.
How is your information used?

I will hold your personal information on my systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with me. Any information you provide will be used for:

Any information provided over the internet can never be guaranteed 100% secure. As a result, while I strive to protect your personal information, I cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to me, and you do so at your own risk.
Client Galleries are always password protected for customer access only. The clients are responsible for the sharing of this information if they wish.
Prior to providing a service I will always ask for permission to use select photos from the photography session for use on my website and other promotional material. Clients have the option to opt out of allowing this.
Your rights

You may ask that I make changes to the information provided by you and/or held about you, to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. You may also request that I cease from processing your personal information and that we delete your data from the database or records. Please note that it may be impossible to completely delete your information because of back-ups and records of deletions.
